We are a family of four… Married in March of 2010, we had our first baby girl Fenley Grace just 6 weeks before our one year wedding anniversary. Two years later, in March of 2013, we were surprised to find out we were expecting another baby. At 25 weeks gestation, our baby boy was diagnosed with Trisomy 18, a chromosomal abnormality that is a fatal diagnosis. 50% of babies with this diagnosis don’t make it to birth. Of the 50% that aren’t stillborn, 90% don’t make it to their first birthday. Shortly after the diagnosis, God graciously gave us 3 verses with the word “marvelous” in them. We did not know how things would turn out and that was really hard but we clung to God’s peace and presence and the word He gave us that this chapter would be marvelous. I started this blog to document the marvelous, as it continues to unfold before our very eyes… Leading up to, during and after the life of our son Wills. And to continue sorting through our new normal as a family of four, with only three of us left here.
Also, I bake French macarons. My husband and little girl are my taste testers. Stop by our house and you will for sure have to eat a macaron and hear lots of marvelous stories.
Glad you stopped by,
